NWC Completes Zamzam Water Project Preparations for Ramadan 1447 AH
The National Water Company (NWC), the official operator of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Zamzam Water Project, announced that the project has completed its preparations for Ramadan 1447 AH, stockpiling more than 2.2 million bottles of Zamzam water to meet pilgrims' needs during the holy month.
According to the company, the project's daily production capacity is 200,000 bottles of five liters each to keep up with increased demand for Zamzam water during Ramadan each year. Distribution continues from the company's head office and through more than 750 outlets throughout the Kingdom. Small 330-ml bottles are also available for purchase through the Nusuk app.
As part of its service to the two holy mosques, NWC confirmed that it will continue pumping Zamzam water to the Grand Mosque around the clock. In constant coordination with the relevant authorities, the company will also supply the Prophet's Mosque with Zamzam water in a safe and healthy manner. This supply will exceed 50 million liters per day.
The company noted that production operations at the Zamzam project use the latest technology and are fully automated from the well to the bottling stage, without human intervention. Advanced laboratories conduct over 400 tests daily to ensure the highest quality and safety standards for the blessed water provided to visitors of the two holy mosques.
