The First Digital Twin Healthcare Technology is Now Available to All in Saudi Arabia

Lean Business Services (Lean) unveiled its latest innovations and solutions for the betterment of health at the Global Health Exhibition (GHE). This included the Kingdom's first-ever digital twin for personalized healthcare which, as of Monday 21st October, is now accessible to all 30 million+ users of the Sehhaty application.

Sehhaty allows users to access health information and obtain several health services provided by various entities in the health sector in Saudi Arabia. Lean, a leading Saudi company in the field of digital transformation in the healthcare sector, has developed the digital twin technology to help push forward the Ministry of Health’s healthcare digitalization efforts in line with Vision 2030 and the Health Transformation Program.

The digital twin is a revolutionary system that integrates personal health data with advanced AI models, creating a virtual replica of the patient’s health profile. By simulating the patient’s health condition, the digital twin can predict potential diseases, thereby enabling timely interventions in support of preventative healthcare; and allow clinicians to see how these virtual patients might respond to different interventions, thereby improving the speed and effectiveness of care.

The technology empowers both patients and healthcare professionals to make better choices about health. Patients can take a proactive role in managing their health by enabling them to monitor their own data, make informed lifestyle choices, and collaborate more effectively with healthcare providers. Healthcare professionals can anticipate potential health risks, and make more informed decisions about the care of their patients. Ultimately, the digital twin will improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency within healthcare facilities.

This breakthrough is expected to revolutionize the Kingdom’s healthcare system by supporting the shift towards value-based care and prioritizing patient outcomes and quality of care. By leveraging personalized health data and predictive analytics, digital twin technology will enhance preventative care and enable more personalized, data-driven healthcare. By improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency, the digital twin will deliver superior patient care, positioning Saudi Arabia as a global leader in healthcare innovation.

CEO of Lean Business Services, Mohanned Al Rasheed, commented:

- "Lean is extremely proud to be the enablers of the Kingdom’s first-ever digital twin healthcare technology, and to have supported the Ministry of Health on this significant milestone for enhanced personalized healthcare. With the digital twin, we are not only improving how healthcare is delivered but are empowering individuals to take control of their health in ways that were previously unimaginable. The technology will have a significant impact on enabling preventive care and optimizing healthcare delivery.”

In addition to the digital twin, Lean will also use the Global Health Exhibition to announce two new products and upgrades. Lean will be launching Tamreez, a medical coding platform that streamlines and enhances the accuracy of medical coding, improving operational efficiency and enhancing the documentation and billing processes.  Raqeem (a health information system), developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, will now include an AI-powered assistant. This assistant uses advanced voice recognition in Arabic and English to capture patient-doctor interactions, converting them into structured medical documentation while offering smart suggestions based on medical standards.

As a key player in the Kingdom’s healthcare transformation, Lean has consistently introduced cutting-edge solutions designed to enhance patient care and system efficiency. Through close partnerships with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders, Lean has been instrumental in driving initiatives that have significantly contributed to the digitalization of healthcare in Saudi Arabia. By tapping into the health technology value chain, Lean is delivering impactful, technology-driven healthcare solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance patient care.
