The National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) conducted 14,374 inspection tours across the Kingdom during the third quarter of 2025, bringing the year-to-date total to over 44,000.
NCEC's General Manager of Inspection and Compliance Abdullah AlEyouni highlighted that tours were distributed based on activity type and environmental impact. Industry and mining accounted for 32%, followed by energy at 15%, with the remainder across vehicle services, contracting, trade, healthcare, and other sectors.
He noted that oversight considers activity type and environmental impact. First-category establishments accounted for 55% of tours, second-category for 38%, and third-category for 7%, reflecting comprehensive oversight across all environmental activity levels.
Makkah Region led with 3,415 tours, followed by Eastern Region at 2,835 and Riyadh at 2,360.
AlEyouni emphasized that environmental reports improve inspection efficiency by enabling inspectors to focus on priorities and identify key sites before field visits. The center is raising awareness and encouraging compliance to facilitate obtaining environmental compliance certificates, supporting Saudi Vision 2030 environmental protection goals.
