
Nearly 5,400 Makkah Education Personnel Serving Pilgrims in 8 Volunteer Initiatives
The General Administration of Education in Makkah Region is participating in Hajj season 1446 AH with at least 5,393 participants, including 4,988 male and female volunteers and 405 male and female Scouts. Their participation is being implemented through the implementation of eight volunteer initiatives, including the Volunteer Heroes, the Himmah, the Salamatak, the Sign of Giving When You Are Safe, the Saned for Cooperation with Government Agencies, the Khair Khalaf, and the Translation Initiatives.
The administration explained that volunteer work includes crowd management, organizing Quran copies, distributing iftar meals, helping the elderly, organizing the Mataf (circumambulation) area in the Grand Mosque. The volunteer work also includes carrying out field, organizational, and humanitarian roles, delivered in diverse and purposeful ways and with diverse ideas that demonstrate the values of responsibility and belonging.
The activities begin with welcoming and receiving pilgrims, and they include caring for lost children of pilgrims in the central area surrounding the Grand Mosque, providing them with care in a safe and secure environment, and enhancing cooperation and integration with relevant government and service agencies.
The efforts and initiatives aim to foster a culture of volunteering and social responsibility in serving pilgrims during this year's Hajj season.
