‘Awn Al-Haram’ Initiative Assists 46,590 People with Disabilities at Grand Mosque

The "Awn Al-Haram" (Al-Haram Aid) initiative, launched by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, has proven to be a groundbreaking effort to assist people with disabilities, introducing new solutions to ease their movement within the Grand Mosque and enhancing accessibility for all.

The authority explained that the initiative operates through the deployment of large electric vehicles equipped with ramps and designed to accommodate all types of disabilities. The process begins with receiving individuals at designated points, where trained staff assist in transporting them through the courtyards of the Grand Mosque using golf carts. This service extends to the courtyards and the Jarwal Tunnel, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

During the year 1445 AH, the initiative benefitted 46,590 individuals with disabilities. The presidency emphasized its commitment to ensuring the satisfaction of visitors and pilgrims with disabilities, creating a supportive environment characterized by care and attention.
