Some 292 Outstanding Schools Reflect Inspiring Stories of Educational Success in Saudi Arabia

The achievement of 292 schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia marked a significant milestone in education, initiating a distinctive narrative aimed at advancing and enhancing the educational framework in line with the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) efforts to elevate public, private, and international institutions through the National Program for School Evaluation, Classification, and Accreditation.

 This program aligns with the objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the Human Capability Development Program, while adhering to the ETEC's strategy aimed at establishing a high-impact Saudi model of quality in education and training, positioning it as a global leader. The initiative seeks to contribute to national development and economic growth by assessing the current state of all schools in the Kingdom and evaluating their performance to enhance education and improve its quality.

 The recently released "National Register of School Excellence" showcases the remarkable transformation journey undertaken by the commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. This initiative achieved a comprehensive self-assessment across all schools, encompassing over 24,000 schools, and successfully completed external assessments in approximately 19,000 schools within 78% of the Kingdom's region. The process engaged more than 10 million students, teachers, and parents, utilizing various tools, including national tests designed to evaluate the educational performance of over 1.5 million students across all schools, culminating in the collection of more than 1.7 billion data units.

 This assessment has initiated a significant transformation in the schools' efforts to foster a culture of quality, measurement, competitiveness, and scorecards.

 The "National Register of School Excellence" reflects the vision and efforts of the ETEC in the pursuit of quality transformation. It highlights the key pillars and directions of the national program for school evaluation, classification, and accreditation, contributing to the sustainability of excellence and the enhancement of school performance. This initiative aims to elevate the quality of general education and improve its outcomes while recognizing distinguished schools as role models. It also encapsulates the journeys of pioneers in school excellence, showcasing their inspiring success stories and achievements.
