Shura Council Speaker Heads Kingdom’s Delegation to Arab Parliament Conference
Shura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh headed the Kingdom's delegation to the 7th Arab Parliament Conference for the Presidents of Arab Parliaments and Councils, which opened today at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
The agenda of the conference included a main topic on formulating a unified Arab parliamentary stance to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land and to reject proposals for the forcible displacement of the Palestinian people.
A unified Arab parliamentary action plan is expected to be issued by the conference, outlining several steps that Arab parliamentarians can take to support the Palestinian cause.
Earlier today, the Presidents of the Arab Councils and Parliaments held a closed-door consultation session on the main points of this plan, preparing for its approval and submission to the Arab Summit for consideration and adoption.
