Old Classic Car Steals the Show at Jeddah's Summer Speed Festival
The oldest classic car on display during the Summer Speed Festival at Jeddah Corniche Circuit caught the attention of visitors who flocked to the event amidst an atmosphere of excitement and entertainment.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) met with Ghassan Abdel Nasser Salama, the owner of the 1974 model car. The car turned heads at the festival's classic car exhibition with its distinctive navy blue colour and rare, attractive shape despite its old manufacturing date.
Salama said that he inherited the car from his grandfather along with his father and that he and his siblings have taken care to preserve it as a commemorative masterpiece, renovating it as needed.
He went on to speak about the rarity of some of the parts used to refurbish the car's structure, explaining that, while most parts are usually available, some are ordered from other states or the car's manufacturing country.
Salama said he keeps some commemorative photos of the car, which he shares in many exhibitions and competitions, where it has become a magnet for visitors eager to learn more about its details.
