Jazan Pottery Workshops Spark Interest in Traditional Crafts

Pottery-making drew around 50 participants of all ages in Jazan Region, highlighting renewed interest in a traditional craft and producing pieces that reflected each maker’s unique vision.
 Workshops held at the Jazan Cultural House brought together participants from different generations, where children’s first attempts blended with the enthusiasm of youth and the experience of older participants, creating a shared space for learning and artistic expression.
 During the workshops, which concluded yesterday, participants learned about clay properties, varieties, and safe handling methods before applying hand-building and modeling techniques to create balanced pottery pieces.
 The strong engagement reflected growing interest in traditional crafts, as participants transformed clay into a variety of vessels and artistic forms that showcased their creativity and developing skills.
