SDAIA's Dal Association Hosts Health Datathon to Enhance Quality of Life
The Dal Association for Data Science and AI, under the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) and in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Misk Foundation, is organizing the Health Datathon. This event aims to leverage data and artificial intelligence to enhance quality of life and extend healthy lifespans through innovative projects that improve health expenditure efficiency and promote healthy lifestyles.
The datathon seeks to identify vulnerable groups, support early intervention, analyze preventable mortality causes, and raise community awareness about healthy living practices. It features two tracks: the first focuses on reducing premature mortality by predicting at-risk groups and analyzing preventable causes, including maternal health; the second seeks to prolong healthy lifespans through data science and biotechnology by developing indicators based on nutrition and organ efficiency.
The Health Datathon 2025 will span six weeks, from registration to the closing ceremony. It comprises three stages: the idea generation stage, which concluded on October 14; the model building and projects stage, from October 15 to 25; and the final stage, from October 27 to 30, where projects will be showcased at the Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh.
Participants will receive guidance from experts at the Ministry of Health, the Dal Association, and SDAIA, along with access to real health data for developing practical solutions.
The Health Datathon promotes digital transformation in healthcare by utilizing data to improve service quality and enhance prevention and early intervention. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030's goals of fostering a vibrant society and a prosperous economy through innovation and knowledge.
