Camel Sports Cup Expands to Hail, Reaches 580 Rounds Since Inception
The fifth edition of the Saudi Camel Sports Cup, kicking off Wednesday in Hail for the first time and running for five days, will introduce 116 new race rounds, bringing the total since the championship’s inception to 580 and covering a cumulative distance of 2,520 kilometers.
The championship was first launched on October 1, 2021, in Najran, which hosted the first four editions and featured a total of 464 rounds.
The move to Hail reflects the Saudi Camel Sports' efforts to expand camel racing across different regions of the Kingdom, aiming to preserve this deep-rooted cultural heritage and provide an ideal environment for camel owners to practice and compete in this authentic tradition, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
