Indonesian Islamic Figures Hail Saudi Arabia’s Efforts to Promote Values of Moderation, Tolerance

Several Islamic figures in the Republic of Indonesia have hailed the efforts of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in promoting moderation and tolerance.

 Their remarks were made during a visit to Indonesia of Sheikh Dr. Ahmad bin Ali Al-Hudhaify, the imam and khatib of the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, as part of the visits of the imams of the Two Holy Mosques’ program, implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, to strengthen the role of these imams and convey the message of moderation from the Two Holy Mosques to the Islamic world.

 Indonesian Supreme Council for Islamic Dawah Vice President Sheikh Abdul Wahid Alawi expressed appreciation for the visit of the Imam of the Prophet's Mosque to Indonesia, saying it is continuation of the Kingdom’s blessings since the time of King Abdulaziz.

 He also praised the efforts of Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance to promote the Kingdom’s message of moderation, tolerance and co-existence and rejecting radicalism and terrorism.

 Dr. Helman Latif, one of the leaders of the Muhammadiyah Association, also commended the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince in promoting moderation and tolerance globally.

 Doctor Amany Lubis, chairperson of the Indonesian Ulema Council for Women, Youth and Families in Indonesia, also commended the visits of the Imams of the Two Holy Mosques to Indonesia, expressing hope for more of these visits to her country in the future.
