KSrelief Launches Project to Rehabilitate Six Hospitals, Establish Three Oxygen Plants in Sudan

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Saturday launched a project to rehabilitate six government hospitals and establish three oxygen plants in Sudan, directly benefiting three million people.
The initiative is part of the third phase of a program to supply government hospitals with modern medical devices and equipment, in cooperation with the implementing partner, the Al-Kafaat Organization for Human Studies and Development.
The project covers Ahmed Gasim Hospital for Cardiac Diseases and Kidney Transplantation and Bashair University Hospital in Khartoum State; Hasahesa Teaching Hospital and Al-Managil Teaching Hospital in Al-Jazirah State; El-Obeid Teaching Hospital in North Kordofan State; and Al-Ashi Orthopedic Hospital in Red Sea State.
It also includes the establishment of three oxygen plants at Ahmed Gasim Hospital, the Saudi Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Al-Buluk Children’s Hospital, all in Khartoum State.
The project supplies devices for emergency, intensive care, pediatric, inpatient, imaging, and laboratory departments, and outfits operating rooms. It includes ventilators, defibrillators, surgical endoscopes, and X-ray and ultrasound machines, as well as installation, commissioning, and training for medical and technical staff on their use.
Ambassador Al-Harbi said that rehabilitating hospitals is a direct form of support for the Sudanese people.
He noted that the program has so far rehabilitated 26 hospitals in 10 states and established nine oxygen plants in several parts of Sudan.
The project builds on Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian relief efforts, delivered through KSrelief, to assist the Sudanese people, support the health sector, and strengthen the capacity of medical institutions.
