Food Lovers Flock to Jeddah for the Saudi Feast Festival

The fourth Saudi Feast Food Festival, held by the Culinary Arts Commission, started here yesterday, providing visitors with an immersive experience of Saudi cuisine and engaging cultural and educational activities that highlight the Kingdom's rich culinary heritage.

The festival features seven zones, each catering to various tastes and interests. Among these is the culinary heritage zone, which includes 13 sections dedicated to the diverse regions of the Kingdom, allowing attendees to explore their unique dishes and culinary traditions.

Another highlight is the workshops zone, which offers up to 30 sessions focused on preparing traditional Saudi dishes and sweets. It has two fully stocked cooking stations that provide all necessary utensils and ingredients. This zone features talented culinary specialists, allowing visitors to connect with local and international experts, learn practical cooking techniques, and discover the secrets of traditional Saudi cuisine.

Furthermore, the theater zone presents diverse musical performances from various regions of the Kingdom, the children's zone offers engaging workshops on Saudi cuisine and storytelling sessions, and the competition zone hosts exciting cooking contests among talented Saudi chefs, highlighting national and regional dishes.

The ten-day festival is one of the largest celebrations of traditional cuisine; it aims to promote Saudi culture and values on both local and global scales and positions the Kingdom as a premier destination for food lovers and tasting experiences. It creates a platform for food enthusiasts to explore Saudi culinary heritage and encourages Saudi youth with a passion for food to turn their interests into viable business ventures.
