Grape Farms in AlUla: High-Quality Production Meets Market Demand
The grape harvest season has begun in AlUla Governorate, where high-quality and diverse grapes are among the most sought-after fruits in local households and domestic markets, making the harvest a key feature of the region’s summer agriculture.
Alongside figs and pomegranates, grapes rank as one of AlUla’s top summer crops. Together, these three fruits are cultivated across approximately 348.96 hectares, yielding an annual production of more than 3,140.66 tons.
Grapes stand out as the most abundant and economically significant crop, supporting regional trade and creating seasonal job opportunities for residents. They also play a key role in strengthening local food security.
The Royal Commission for AlUla continues to support the agricultural sector through various development initiatives, advisory programs, and the integration of modern farming technologies. These efforts aim to enhance the quality, sustainability, and productivity of AlUla’s agricultural output, aligning with the Saudi Vision 2030 to develop promising rural and agricultural areas.
