Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal Launches Family Medicine Guide Platform

Chairman of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) and honorary president of the Saudi Society of Family and Community Medicine Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz on Monday sponsored the society’s celebration of World Family Doctor Day, held in Riyadh with the participation of several officials from the public and private health sectors.

 During the ceremony, Prince Abdulaziz witnessed the launch of several projects by the society, most notably the official website of the Family Medicine Guide (DaleelFM.com) platform, a key national reference developed to support the advancement of family medicine content and practice in the Kingdom. The guide was developed and updated with the contributions of more than 3,000 male and female family physicians. The event also included the honoring of the winners of the Family Medicine Excellence Awards.

 In his speech, Prince Abdulaziz affirmed the vital role of family physicians in serving the community and advancing the health transformation goals within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030. He pointed to the launch of the DaleelFM app, which enhances the credibility of the society’s efforts through its commitment to scientific and statistical methodology.

 Chairperson of the Saudi Society of Family and Community Medicine Dr. Malak Al-Shammari emphasized the society’s commitment to advancing family medicine practices by launching innovative initiatives and forming partnerships that contribute to raising the level of healthcare services provided to the community.

 The event included the honoring of the winners of the Family Medicine Excellence Awards and the organization of a scientific symposium titled "Celebrating World Family Doctor Day", as part of the society’s ongoing efforts to support the path of primary healthcare in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

 AGFUND maintains a longstanding strategic partnership with the society, having supported several projects in the field of sustainable health development, including the DaleelFM.com platform. The initiative falls within AGFUND’s interest in meaningful development partnerships that invest in innovative solutions to enhance preventive care and expand access to healthcare services.
