
General Authority for the Care of Two Holy Mosques Exerts Continuous Efforts to Serve Pilgrims
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque is exerting continuous efforts to serve pilgrims, Umrah performers, and worshippers.
The authority affirmed that the extent of these efforts reflects its commitment to serving pilgrims by providing the highest standards of service and comfort in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
It said that during the period from the 19th to the 29th of Dhul-Qi’dah 1446 AH, it intensified its operational services in preparation for the Hajj season. In the context of enhancing the atmosphere of comfort within the Two Holy Mosques, 5,589 liters of perfumes were used, and the amount of incense used amounted to 7,829 grams. As for the Zamzam water service, more than 6,979 cubic meters of were consumed, 202,200 Zamzam bottles were distributed to pilgrims and worshippers, and the number of cups used for drinking exceeded 28,217,000.
The number of iftar meals provided to fasting people reached 338,092, extending the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's approach of giving that has distinguished it in serving pilgrims. The amount of waste removed during this period reached 787 tons, as part of a 24-hour cleaning and operational plan to ensure a pure environment that helps pilgrims perform their rituals with comfort.
The authority was keen to bring joy to the hearts of visitors by distributing 506,287 gifts and distributions, including copies of the Holy Quran, awareness brochures, and prayer rugs.
These efforts reflect the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque's commitment to providing the best and highest quality services to pilgrims, in accordance with the directives of the wise leadership.
