GASTAT Launches Comprehensive Economic, Social, Environmental, and Spatial Surveys Nationwide
The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) announced the start of its statistical operations and field, telephone, and self-administered surveys in the economic, social, environmental, and spatial domains during the current period to collect accurate data for its 2026 statistics across all regions of the Kingdom, including cities and their affiliated governorates.
These surveys target individuals and households, as well as establishments across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, with the aim of collecting comprehensive and precise data that support evidence-based decision-making and the formulation of development policies grounded in scientific methodology.
The authority is using the latest data collection methods and internationally approved statistical practices to ensure the accuracy and quality of statistical outputs.
GASTAT provides required statistical information as part of its active national role in tracking performance indicators for Saudi Vision 2030 targets and measuring progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The authority called on all targeted individuals, households, and establishments to cooperate and participate in this national duty by providing updated information, emphasizing that all collected data are kept strictly confidential in accordance with official regulations and are used solely for statistical purposes under established principles and standards governing statistical work.
