Ministry of Commerce Issues Consumer Report for Q4 of 2024

The Ministry of Commerce has released its quarterly consumer report for the fourth quarter of 2024, highlighting its efforts to protect consumers, combat commercial concealment and fraud, and monitor e-commerce platforms.
 During this quarter, the ministry conducted more than 200,000 inspection visits across all regions of the Kingdom, covering various sectors and economic activities. Efforts to combat commercial fraud included over 186,000 inspection visits, while more than 7,400 visits targeted commercial concealment. Additionally, the ministry carried out 11,200 inspection visits focused on e-commerce platforms.
 The report also detailed efforts to address commercial fraud, including handling over 150,000 commercial complaints, seizing more than two million non-compliant products, and referring 420 cases to the public prosecution.
