95th National Day Celebrations Begin in Makkah

Festivities marking the Kingdom’s 95th National Day began yesterday in Makkah with a wide range of cultural, artistic, and recreational events.

 The Ministry of Sport launched the celebrations with the Makkah Marathon at Makkah Yard, while the Holy Makkah Municipality organized cultural performances, folklore group shows, recreational games for children, competitions, gift distribution, and entertainment activities for families and visitors.

 As part of the celebrations, a 47-meter-long, two-meter-high “National Day Mural” was unveiled, created with the participation of 95 men and women artists. The artwork, executed in community partnership with the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites and local associations, reflected values of loyalty and belonging while showcasing the spirit of creativity.

 The Hira Cultural District also hosted a series of events, including horse and camel shows, a national theater, a Saudi tent, the Revelation Exhibition, interactive games, drawing activities, and cultural competitions, further enriching the celebratory atmosphere.
