Saudi Media Forum Day One: Ministers, Global Influencers Join 35 Panels, 11 Workshops

The Saudi Media Forum witnessed a high turnout on its first day, with royals, ministers, and chief executives of major media companies in attendance, along with extensive participation from global influencers, thought leaders, and experts from around the world.

The forum commenced with an opening speech by Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary followed by a ministerial session featuring Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

British former Prime Minister Boris Johnson participated in a session where he discussed the impact of media in shaping his image as a prominent politician.

The event featured 35 panel discussions and 11 workshops, with speakers and experts from Saudi Arabia and around the world.

The first day also saw the launch of the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), one of the key events accompanying the Saudi Media Forum.

The exhibition features over 250 local, regional, and international companies showcasing the latest technologies and solutions in media, production, and digital broadcasting.

The halls and platforms of the Saudi Media Forum hosted the signing of at least six agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) to foster collaboration between the public and private sectors.

The agreements aim to develop digital infrastructure, launch new products to enhance broadcasting and digital content, and support tourism, culture, and media production in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Additionally, several interactive workshops focused on media innovation, digital content creation, keeping pace with the latest technologies and trends, and enhancing the skills of media professionals.

The Saudi Media Forum, taking place in Riyadh from February 19 to 20, serves as a key platform for media industry leaders, experts, and researchers to engage in discussions and dialogue.
