Saudi Water Authority: Over 980,000 Cubic Meters Pumped on Tarwiyah Day

The Saudi Water Authority reported that on Tarwiyah Day, the volume of water pumped by the system in Makkah and the holy sites reached 980,633 cubic meters. This effort was part of a comprehensive operational plan designed to ensure a highly efficient water supply during the Hajj season.

From the start of Dhu Al-Hijjah to Tarwiyah Day, a total of 6,899,177 cubic meters of water was pumped. This was achieved through production and transportation capacities that exceed 1.2 million cubic meters, enabling the meeting of peak daily demand. The daily pumping capacity surpassed one million cubic meters.

The system's sectors integrate to guarantee a plentiful water supply, ensuring safety and efficient management. This is accomplished by implementing modern phased techniques in network administration, which leverage advanced infrastructure, facilities, and services to enhance operational quality. Additionally, various conservation methods are activated through the National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE).

On Tarwiyah Day, a total of 4,245 laboratory tests were conducted to ensure the quality and safety of the water. This effort is part of a comprehensive control system that supports sustainable service, improves field performance, and ensures compliance with safety standards.

The authority's monitoring and compliance teams continued their field inspections of the pilgrims' camps and service facilities in Mina and Arafat. They aimed to assess the water services available to the pilgrims on Tarwiyah Day and prepare for their reception on Arafah Day, conducting over 5,500 inspection rounds.
