MWL Welcomes Ceasefire Agreement Between Pakistan and Afghanistan

The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed the signing of an immediate ceasefire between the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

 In a statement, MWL Secretary-General and Organization of Muslim Scholars Chairman Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa welcomed the agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan to establish mechanisms aimed at consolidating lasting peace and stability through dialogue and negotiation.

 He expressed hope that this initiative would spare both nations and their peoples the suffering and tragedies associated with armed conflict.
