Saudi-Tunisian Business Forum in Riyadh Explores Stronger Investment Partnerships
Saudi Arabia and Tunisia held their joint business forum in Riyadh on Monday on the sidelines of the 12th session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee, focusing on ways to strengthen investment partnerships between the two countries.
The Saudi-Tunisian Business Forum saw the attendance of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef and Tunisia's Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh, along with official delegations and more than 300 representatives from both countries' public and private sectors.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in cooperation with the Ministry of Investment and the Federation of Saudi Chambers.
In his opening remarks, Alkhorayef highlighted the strong and longstanding Saudi-Tunisian relations, noting their deep historical roots shaped by the leaderships of both countries and reinforced through high-level reciprocal visits. He said these visits have served as a cornerstone in driving economic momentum and the recent tangible growth in bilateral trade.
Alkhorayef emphasized the forum as a key platform for boosting investment partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Tunisia and transforming promising opportunities into projects with tangible economic impact.
The minister highlighted the role of governments in empowerment, legislation, and procedural facilitation.
Meanwhile, he emphasized the private sector’s role in construction and innovation and in transforming these enablers into productive projects and job opportunities. He shared success stories that reflect the strength and depth of the partnership toward comprehensive economic integration based on the two countries’ competitive advantages.
“We are placing our bet today on investors, businesspeople, and private sector leaders in both countries to drive growth in promising sectors, including advanced industries, tourism, renewable energy, and mining,” Alkhorayef emphasized.
The forum reflects the shared vision of both countries on building effective investment partnerships that open broader horizons for cooperation and economic integration and boost bilateral trade. These objectives align with Saudi Vision 2030 and contribute to the comprehensive, sustainable development goals of both nations.
