Sakaka Hosts Third Dates Festival Showcasing Al-Jouf's Diverse Date Varieties
The third dates festival kicked off yesterday in Sakaka, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's branch in Al-Jouf Region and running for four days.
Some 40 farmers, along with various agricultural associations and families working in the cottage industry, are participating in the festival to showcase a wide range of dates from Al-Jouf Region, including Medjool, Sagai, Barhi, Sukkari, and other varieties.
The festival aims to support farmers, highlight Al-Jouf’s palm trees, and create new marketing opportunities for their products. It also features educational and entertainment programs, children’s activities, and sections supporting families in the cottage industry.
