Red Sea Film Festival Announces 40 Entries for 2025 Souk Project Market
The Red Sea International Film Festival has announced 40 film and television projects selected for its Souk Project Market 2025, reinforcing its position as a leading platform for discovering talent and supporting co-productions from the Arab world, Asia, and Africa.
The selected projects stand out for their diversity in storytelling and creative vision, with women representing more than 42% of the total participants.
This year’s selection includes 24 projects currently in development and production, 12 of which were developed through Red Sea Labs over the past year as part of the Feature Film Program, in partnership with Torino Film Lab and sponsored by Film AlUla. The remaining 12 projects will receive specialized pitch training to enhance their presentation skills before industry professionals.
The lineup also comprises eight feature films in post-production and eight drama series developed through the Series Lab, highlighting the market’s continued growth in audiovisual content production. The Red Sea Souk Project Market 2025 received over 1,900 submissions from across the Kingdom, the Arab world, Asia, and Africa. All submissions were evaluated by an international selection committee, and the chosen projects will undergo an intensive mentorship program ahead of their industry presentations during the festival in December.
All participating projects are eligible for cash awards from the Red Sea Fund, as well as prizes from festival partners to support various stages of development, production, and post-production.
