Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Open Symposium to Advance Moderation
An international symposium between the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif opened in Cairo on Thursday, themed “Pioneering Experiences and Future Prospects in Promoting the Values of Moderation and Balance.”
Ministry of Islamic Affairs Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs Awad bin Sabti Al-Enazi, and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Deputy Grand Imam Muhammad Al-Duwaini attended the opening, along with other officials.
The event aims to highlight the pioneering role of both the ministry and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in promoting the culture of moderation and countering extremist ideologies. It also seeks to develop a joint vision that envisions the future of the moderation approach amid current intellectual challenges, further strengthening cooperation and integration between the two entities in serving Islam and its noble values.
