The vice foreign minister delivered a speech expressing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's gratitude to the Republic of Turkmenistan for its initiative at the United Nations General Assembly that led to the adoption of a resolution designating 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. The designation aims to promote dialogue, encourage cooperation, and consolidate the principles of mutual respect on a global scale.
Elkhereiji reaffirmed the Kingdom's commitment to the importance of trust, dialogue, and development in peacemaking."Lasting peace cannot be achieved simply by signing an agreement or treaty. The vice foreign minister also highlighted the Kingdom's efforts in preventive diplomacy, which are fundamentally based on mediation, peaceful conflict resolution, supporting regional stability, providing aid, promoting intercultural and interreligious dialogue, and supporting international organizations.
