Ethiopian Cultural Events Conclude under “Global Harmony 2”; Sudanese Culture Week Begins
The Ministry of Media concluded the Ethiopian Culture Days events held as part of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative, organized in cooperation with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), amid strong attendance by visitors of various nationalities who interacted with the diverse Ethiopian cultural and heritage performances.
Held at Al-Suwaidi Park—one of Riyadh Season 2025’s venues—the events were implemented through an initiative by the Quality of Life Program to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. They featured a wide range of cultural, musical, and entertainment performances, along with handicraft showcases, adornment pavilions, and diverse traditional fashion displays.
Thousands of citizens and residents from different nationalities explored the features of authentic Ethiopian culture through folk arts, traditional music, and deeply rooted customs and traditions.
The closing day featured a select group of Ethiopian singers who presented varied singing and performance segments highlighting Ethiopia’s cultural heritage, alongside musical performances, folk dances, and 360 Circus shows, drawing wide audience engagement.
Sudanese Culture Week—the final week of the “Global Harmony 2” initiative in its second edition—will launch tomorrow and continue until December 20. It will feature more than 80 exhibitors and performers presenting folk arts, traditional dances, and cultural segments that reflect the depth and authenticity of Sudanese culture.
Sudanese Culture Week will include several concerts featuring prominent Sudanese singers and influencers who will perform national songs and showcase Sudanese musical heritage, representing the country’s diverse regions and cultural components.
The events will also showcase traditional Sudanese attire, notable products, handicrafts, accessories, and bridal customs, as well as popular foods and dishes from various regions of Sudan.
Over more than 40 days, the “Global Harmony 2” initiative delivered an integrated cultural experience highlighting 13 cultures represented by residents in the Kingdom, showcasing their customs, traditions, and music. The initiative received wide acclaim for highlighting the lives of residents in the Kingdom and the services provided to them.
