Social Development Bank Launches 'Nora' Smart Assistant and 'Smart Collection' Agent

The Social Development Bank (SDB) announced at LEAP 2026 the launch of two new digital products, "Nora," an AI-powered smart assistant, and the "Smart Collection Agent," as part of the SDB's efforts to enhance its digital services, improve the beneficiary experience and increase operational efficiency.
The new products are the result of the SDB’s digital transformation journey, which is based on an integrated approach centered on the beneficiary and their journey, while extending to operations, data and platforms.
In 2025, the SDB began a phased program to deploy artificial intelligence (AI), starting with business needs and building internal readiness.
The program included training more than 600 employees across various departments and sectors, before moving on to assess business challenges and opportunities and translate them into practical use cases based on clear priorities and criteria.
Nora, the smart assistant, offers an integrated digital experience powered by generative and agentic AI technologies, helping beneficiaries access the SDB's services, receive appropriate guidance and complete their transactions easily through digital channels.
Nora has surpassed one million users and handles the equivalent of 50% of all customer transactions conducted through traditional channels.
The Smart Collection Agent focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and leveraging data to understand customer behavioral patterns and improve communication and collection methods.
The system now conducts more than 200,000 successful collection contacts each month and has helped address collection-related challenges for more than 3,500 customers.
