
National Center for Public Opinion Polls Explores Saudi Arabia's Presidency of UN Commission on the Status of Women
The National Center for Public Opinion Polls (Ra’i), part of the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, conducted a public survey on Saudi Arabia’s presidency of the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women. A total of 881 people participated, with 56% male and 44% female respondents.
According to the results, 37% said Saudi Arabia’s political and media messaging in recent years has strongly supported women. Another 36% believe it reflects global recognition of the significant changes the Kingdom has undergone over the past decade, while 27% said the world is interested in seeing more examples of successful Saudi women across various fields.
When asked about the significance of Saudi Arabia being chosen to lead the session, 58% said it signals a promising future for women in the Kingdom. The remaining 42% attributed it to the strong skills and capabilities of Saudi women.
