King Abdullah Medical City Saves Life of 57-Year-Old Woman After Suffering Severe Heart Attack
A specialized medical team at the Heart Health Center at the King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah, a member of Makkah Health Cluster, has successfully saved the life of a 57-year-old Moroccan Umrah performer after she suffered a severe heart attack that nearly claimed her life. Her life was saved after paramedics assessed her and facilitated her urgent admission to the Al-Noor Specialist Hospital
The Makkah Health Cluster explained that the Umrah performer experienced severe chest pain while performing the Umrah rituals and was swiftly transferred to Al-Noor Specialist Hospital, where she was diagnosed with a critical heart attack that required immediate specialized intervention.
Through rapid coordination between the cluster hospitals, she was transferred to the King Abdullah Medical City, where medical teams at the Heart Health Center began emergency procedures. Tests revealed a severe blockage in the left anterior descending coronary artery, and a successful coronary catheterization was immediately performed, which was successful and contributed to stabilizing the patient's condition, ultimately saving her life.
The health cluster emphasized that the integration of services among the health cluster facilities, along with quick coordination and response, directly contributed to saving the patient's life, reflecting the preparedness of the healthcare system to receive critical cases from the pilgrims.
These efforts are part of an advanced medical care system based on efficiency and specialization.
