Reef Charity Marks International Day of Rural Women, Highlights Their Role in Sustainable Development

Reef Charity celebrated the International Day of Rural Women, observed annually on October 15, in recognition of the pivotal role rural women play in development and production, and in acknowledgment of their ability to contribute effectively to building sustainable rural communities that balance economic growth with a decent social life.

 The charity emphasized that empowering rural women is a key development priority, rooted in the belief that supporting women and investing in their potential is a crucial investment in the future and prosperity of rural areas. It reiterated its continued efforts to design and implement specialized programs and initiatives that enhance rural women's economic and social participation.

 Reef Charity has implemented several initiatives to empower rural women, boost their capabilities, and create a supportive environment that opens new horizons for success and leadership. Key initiatives include training 159 women in leadership fields, empowering 50 tailors, and supporting 350 chefs, in addition to supporting 1,175 women working in the cottage industry.
