Arab Parliament Speaker Commends Kingdom's Environment Protection Efforts

Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Abdulrahman Al Asoomi valued the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's hosting of World Environment Day 2024, in cooperation with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), which aligns with the vision of the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
In a statement on the occasion of World Environment Day, which falls on June 5, Al Asoomi explained that the Kingdom launched the Saudi and Middle East Green Initiative, the largest of its kind aiming at protecting environment and addressing climate change risks, citing the initiative's contributions to achieving global environmental goals.
