Saudi Deputy Minister of Finance for International RelationsHeads Kingdom's Delegation at 17th Council of Arab Ministers of Finance Meeting in Abu Dhabi
Saudi Deputy Minister of Finance for International Relations Mr. Khalid Bawazier, headed the Kingdom's delegation participating in the 17th meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Finance and The High-level Roundtable; In addition to attending the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the AMF held in Abu Dhabi.
Participants exchanged information on the experiences of Arab countries in several fields, and discussed working papers, studies, and presentations submitted by international institutions, including the World Bank, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on the most important economic developments in Arab countries.
During his participation, Mr. Bawazier highlighted that the Kingdom's efforts across a range of development areas have delivered tangible results that support economic growth.
He also noted that the success of sustainable infrastructure projects begins with preparing a project based on an integrated economic and financial feasibility study, a clear contractual framework, procurement and disclosure governance, and measurable performance indicators. He said this underscores the World Bank's important role as a "knowledge bank" in building capacity, developing bankable infrastructure projects, and sharing experiences among countries in similar circumstances.
