
New Roads, Green Spaces Unveil Enhanced Visual Identity in Madinah's Central Area
The Madinah Regional Municipality has completed the development of its latest projects in the central area, including key roads, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, safe public squares, and landscaping efforts. The initiative aims to enhance the urban landscape surrounding the Prophet's Mosque and enrich the pilgrims' experience during their visit to Madinah.
The municipality undertook the rehabilitation and development of several vital roads in the central area, incorporating safe pedestrian pathways with enhanced lighting and expanded green spaces to provide a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment for pilgrims.
The Madinah Municipality noted that the projects included the development of 68,196 square meters of roads, 67,396.57 square meters of green spaces, and 41,156.09 million square meters of sidewalks and public squares in the central area. Additionally, 41,586.51 million square meters of safe vehicle routes were prepared, along with the installation of 192 decorative light poles and the planting of 6,210 various trees. The projects also included the construction of 5,509 square meters of planting basins.
