KSrelief Completes Three Medical Volunteer Programs in Damascus
The King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center (KSrelief) has concluded three medical volunteer programs in the capital of the Syrian Arab Republic, Damascus, as part of the Saudi Amal Volunteer Program for the brotherly Syrian people.
The programs, carried out by volunteers from various medical specialties, included cochlear implants, auditory rehabilitation, pediatric oncology treatment, and orthopedic surgery.
Throughout the campaign, the KSrelief medical volunteer team screened 315 individuals and successfully performed a total of 135 operations, including nine pediatric oncology, 31 cochlear implants, 42 pediatric orthopedic, and 53 orthopedic and joint replacement surgeries. Furthermore, the parents of 62 children received training on the fundamentals of hearing and speech rehabilitation.
The Saudi Amal Volunteer Program aims to conduct 104 medical and surgical campaigns, provide training and educational programs, and offer economic empowerment for those in need across several Syrian cities, involving more than 3,000 volunteers. The program is part of a series of medical volunteer projects provided by the Kingdom, represented by KSrelief, to improve Syria’s healthcare sector.
