Countdown to AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026 with Final Preparations Underway
Final preparations are in full swing in Riyadh and Jeddah, with just 10 days remaining until the kickoff of the seventh edition of the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026, scheduled from January 6 to 24 and featuring 16 national teams from across Asia.
The Local Organizing Committee is putting the finishing touches on arrangements to deliver a world-class event. Considered one of the most prominent continental competitions for age-group national teams, the tournament will be hosted by the Kingdom for the first time, with tickets available through the Asian Football Confederation’s official website at www.the-afc.com.
In Riyadh, the Local Organizing Committee has developed a comprehensive operational plan covering reception facilities, team headquarters, training programs, and transport arrangements. The capital will host 12 group-stage matches, equally divided between Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City Stadium and Al-Shabab Club Stadium.
In Jeddah, preparations are also underway at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City, which will host 10 matches, including the opening and final. Meanwhile, the auxiliary stadium at King Abdullah Sports City will host 10 matches, including the two semifinals and the third-place playoff.
The tournament represents a major sporting milestone in the Kingdom’s preparations to host the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s growing readiness and strong organizational capability in managing continental and international events in line with the highest global standards.
