Minister of Education: Saudi Arabia Aims to Rank Among Top 20 Global Education Systems

Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan affirmed that the Saudi government is making unprecedented investments in education, with a budget aligned with national growth and development goals. The objective is to position Saudi Arabia among the world's top 20 education systems, in line with Vision 2030.
Speaking at the first edition of the Invest in Education Forum 2025, held under the theme "Invest for Impact… Empowerment for Education Transformation," Al-Benyan emphasized the private sector's vital role in advancing the education system. Currently contributing 17% to the sector, private sector participation is targeted at 25%, with government-backed initiatives to create an attractive investment environment. The Ministry of Education continues to support private sector engagement to ensure sustainable educational projects across all regions of the Kingdom.
Al-Benyan highlighted key initiatives to enhance education quality, including launching the Madares platform for school evaluation and the NAFS Program to assess national tests and improve education standards. He reiterated the ministry's commitment to delegating tasks to specialized bodies to ensure quality and competitiveness.
The forum, held at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh on February 25–26, witnessed the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding between the Ministry of Education and key stakeholders. As a platform for investors in the education sector, the event explores investment opportunities, strategic directions, and partnerships between the public and private sectors to drive sustainable development and achieve Vision 2030's educational goals.
