KSrelief General Supervisor Inaugurates Saudi Sama'a Volunteer Program in Tunisia
Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah inaugurated the "Saudi Sama'a" volunteer program for cochlear implantation and auditory rehabilitation in the Republic of Tunisia yesterday. The event was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr, members of the diplomatic corps in Tunisia, several representatives of Arab and international organizations, and a media delegation.
During the inauguration speech, Dr. Al Rabeeah expressed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He expressed his pleasure at the involvement of this esteemed group of Saudi medical professionals in initiating the Saudi voluntary hearing project in Tunisia, affirming the strong ties that have connected the two countries.
Dr. Abdullah emphasized that humanitarian and voluntary work is essential to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's identity. It transcends mere financial assistance, embodying a civilized vision that restores hope in the hearts of those in need, fosters connections between peoples and revitalizes the spirit of solidarity among all individuals. KSrelief's establishment has led to the implementation of 4,000 projects across 106 countries, with an investment of nearly $8 billion. "The Saudi Sama'a volunteer program, which we are celebrating today with the launch of its first projects in Tunisia, stands out as one of the center's most significant initiatives. It embodies a profound human dimension, through which thousands of children have regained the ability to hear their mothers' voices for the first time, instilling hope in the hearts of their families who have witnessed their children speak their first words," KSrelief General Supervisor said.
"We have gathered today to broaden the reach of this pioneering program in our second country through four volunteer initiatives. We will carry out 50 cochlear implants and train 50 families with children on installing and using headphones, ensuring the sustainability of the impact. Additionally, we will establish connections between health personnel in both countries to facilitate the exchange of mutual experiences," Dr. Al Rabeeah concluded.
