Shura Council Holds 16th Ordinary Session
The Shura Council convened for its sixteenth ordinary session of the first year of the ninth session, under the chairmanship of Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh.
At the outset of the session, the council reviewed the agenda and made necessary decisions.
The session’s agenda included the review of several reports from specialized committees on draft agreements and memoranda of understanding and cooperation. The council approved a draft agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in the field of air transport services.
Additionally, the council approved a draft agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Suriname in the field of air transport services.
The Shura Council also approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Economy and Planning and the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment of the Union of the Comoros for economic cooperation.
Furthermore, the council approved a draft agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Iceland for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
In the same context, the council approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (TRITA) and the Academy of Traditional Arts under the Hassan II Mosque Foundation in Casablanca, Kingdom of Morocco, to enhance cooperation in traditional arts.
