Jeddah Historic District Program Logs Over 22 Million Safe Work Hours

The Jeddah Historic District Program, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, has completed over 22 million safe work hours in the Jeddah Historic District without any work-related incidents, reflecting the program's commitment to occupational safety, health, and environmental standards in the construction projects it implements and oversees.
The safe work hours included 5.5 million hours on the Cultural Square project, 5.5 million hours in the restoration of historic buildings, 5 million hours in the field of security and safety, 3 million hours in maintenance and cleaning, 1.5 million hours in work on the Lake Al-Arbaeen Park, and 1.5 million hours in the organization of cultural initiatives and activities.
The program is committed to implementing approved safety policies and standards to protect lives and property. These include risk assessment, identification, removal, and management before starting any process or activity, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and designing and constructing the program's project facilities according to safety standards and systems. Additionally, the program focuses on training and qualifying workers, promoting and disseminating safety concepts, and effective community awareness.
