From Sport to Global Phenomenon: Crown Prince Camel Festival Promotes Arab Culture

Saudi Camel Sports spokesperson Murdhi Al-Khamaali stated that the Crown Prince Camel Festival has promoted authentic Arab culture to the world by blending the diverse cultures of the Kingdom, the Gulf states, and the Arab world, making the festival more than just a sport, but an economic, social, and cultural movement.
According to Al-Khamaali, the festival has revived the cultural and historical memory of Taif, its host city. He noted that naming the festival after HRH the Crown Prince has transformed it into a cultural and economic product, establishing it as a destination for camel owners across the Kingdom and the Gulf.
The festival has a history of breaking records. In its previous six editions, more than 90,000 camels participated. With the launch of the seventh edition, that number has exceeded 100,000, leading to multiple entries in the Guinness World Records.
