Malaysian Selangor Red Giants Team Wins Third Esports World Cup Title

The Malaysian Selangor Red Giants team achieved its third Esports World Cup title after defeating the AP.Bren—Falcons, a joint venture between Saudi Falcons and Filipino AP.Bren, by 4-3 in the final match of the “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang” tournament, held at Amazon Arena in Riyadh.
The match was held in a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere thanks to the wide popularity of both teams, which was showcased in the result of the final match, as the match headed to the seventh confrontation to decide the winner of the title after the two teams tied with a score of 3-3, before a strong performance from the Malaysian team snatched the championship shield with its victory in the final confrontation, earning the largest share ($ 1 million) of the tournament’s prize pool which exceeds $ 3 million, in addition to 1,000 points in the race to win the Esports World Cup.
The Esports World Cup is the largest event in the history of the gaming and electronic sports sector. It takes place in Riyadh City Boulevard over eight weeks, from July 3 to August 25, with more than 1,500 players participating in the event, representing 500 elite international clubs, competing in 22 tournaments on the largest prize money in the history of the sector, with a total value exceeding $ 60 million.
