KSrelief Masam Project Clears 1,737 Mines in Yemen in One Week
The “Masam” project of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for clearing mines in Yemen removed 1,737 mines during the fourth week of March 2026 across various governorates, including five anti-personnel mines and 1,732 unexploded ordnance.
This brings the total number of mines cleared during March to 5,237, while the total number cleared since the beginning of the Masam project has risen to 551,189 mines, which were indiscriminately planted across Yemeni territories, posing a threat to the lives of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.
Through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, Saudi Arabia continues its efforts to clear mines from Yemeni lands under a project that enhances civilian safety and contributes to enabling the Yemeni people to live in a safe and dignified environment.
