SDAIA, KFUPM Launch Initiative to Study for Master's in AI
The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) have announced the launch of the Artificial Intelligence Pioneers Initiative. This initiative provides scholarships for completing a master's degree in AI and related fields through the university's Professional Master's Program MX Program.
The initiative aims to train professional national cadres in AI and related specializations to meet the labor market's needs and contribute to building a generation capable of using artificial intelligence technologies to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have a bachelor's degree and obtain a score of 6 on the IELTS test or 70 on the TOEFL, except for graduates of KFUPM or those with a bachelor's degree from accredited universities outside the Kingdom. In addition, applicants must submit two recommendation letters for the study and a statement of purpose letter focusing on professional and research goals.

SDAIA and the university will cover the full costs of the scholarships for citizens who meet the admission requirements for the university's covered programs. These programs include "visual computing, quantum computing, unmanned aircraft systems, the Internet of Things and embedded systems, robotics and autonomous systems, and smart city sustainability."
Through this program, SDAIA aims to enhance national data and AI competencies and develop national capabilities to lead the labor market through various promising programs and activities.
