Indonesian Vice President Visits Makkah Route Initiative Terminal at Juanda International Airport
Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka visited today the terminal dedicated to the Makkah Route Initiative Terminal at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya.
The vice president was briefed on the terminal’s operations and the procedures implemented to facilitate pilgrims’ journeys and expedite their processing in record time.
The initiative aims to provide high-quality services to pilgrims from participating countries by completing their procedures with ease and convenience in their home countries. This includes collecting biometric data, issuing Hajj visas electronically, completing passport procedures at the departure airport, and verifying health requirements.
Pilgrims are then directed to buses that transport them along dedicated routes to their residences in the Makkah and Madinah regions, while partner entities deliver their luggage directly to their accommodations.
