Prophet's Mosque Enhances Crowd Management for Post-Hajj Visitors
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has activated its integrated crowd management plan for the post-Hajj season in Madinah to facilitate the movement of worshippers and visitors within the Prophet’s Mosque and its courtyards, ensuring organized entry and exit while minimizing congestion and overcrowding.
As part of the plan, prayer areas are prepared in advance of prayer times to ensure their readiness for worshippers. The plan also includes directing worshippers to designated prayer locations and prohibiting sitting or praying in the mosque’s corridors and courtyards to maintain smooth foot traffic and prevent overcrowding.
The authority emphasized that these measures reflect its commitment to providing a safe, organized, and spiritually enriching environment for pilgrims. The goal is to enable worshippers to perform their rituals in an atmosphere of calm, order, and reverence.
