SDAIA Wraps Up Hajj Support for Government Entities, Gears Up for Pilgrim Departure Operations
The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) successfully implemented its operational plans for the 1446 AH Hajj season, facilitating the arrival of pilgrims through the "Makkah Route" initiative in seamless collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and other relevant government entities. Through its technical and engineering teams, SDAIA provided support to workstations at Saudi Arabia's seaports, airports, and land crossings to ensure the smooth departure of pilgrims.
SDAIA also operated the Smart Makkah Operations Center (Smart MOC), a key technological pillar of the Hajj season. The center integrated advanced digital systems to enable real-time crowd monitoring and analysis.
As part of its broader operational support, SDAIA deployed long-range AI-enabled cameras that provided comprehensive real-time coverage and smart monitoring across key Hajj locations and holy sites. This capability enabled entities to make swift decisions and respond immediately, significantly enhancing overall operational efficiency throughout the Hajj season.
