KSrelief Masam Project Clears 1,559 Explosives in Yemen in First Week of July
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Masam Project removed 1,559 explosives across various regions of Yemen during the first week of July. The cleared explosives included one anti-personnel mine, 45 anti-tank mines, and 1,513 unexploded ordnances (UXOs).
These efforts bring the total number of explosives cleared since the start of the Masam Project to 504,295. These explosives were randomly planted throughout Yemeni territory, endangering innocent civilians, including children, women, and older people, and sowing fear in once-safe communities.
Saudi Arabia, through the KSrelief, continues its mission to rid Yemeni land of explosives as part of its broader effort to protect civilians and enable the Yemeni people to live safely and with dignity.
